Ibrahim Ibrahim, is a young man defying stereotypes, while at the same time creating a better international community.
Born to two immigrant parents and raised in the conservative climate of Texas, Ibrahim’s family gladly moved from the desert to the rain-soaked valley, of Portland, Oregon. Upon starting school, at one of the more affordable Muslim-influenced educational institutions, Ibrahim started work in his new community, delivering food to those less fortunate to organizing school events.
Now he is involved in bringing awareness to the immigrant population of Portland, through a youth program at The World Affairs Council of Oregon. Ibrahim has yet to let the never-ending stigmas of being young, black and Muslim, get in the way of his success.
